Jonathan C. Curtis

Mr. Curtis is an owner and principal of Cedar Street Partners, LLC. He has over 25 years of professional experience in the real estate investment, transactional and development business. Mr. Curtis has held various positions with other companies, including serving as Executive Vice President and General Counsel for a large private holding Partnership, with a focus on investment, real estate and aviation. As part of the senior management team, he provided strategic business and legal advice, including: corporate and regulatory compliance; corporate governance; corporate finance; governmental relations; policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal statutory and regulatory compliance; and structuring and negotiating complex commercial transactions, including partnerships with publicly traded companies and banks, as well as acquisitions and dispositions.

Mr. Curtis was also a Partner and Practice Group Leader at the international law firm of Sheppard, Mullin Richter and Hampton, LLP. In addition to his leadership responsibilities, his practice included representation of owners, managers, investors, pension fund advisors, banks and other lenders, businesses and developers in all aspects of corporate, transactional and administrative matters.

Mr. Curtis was Mayor and currently serves on the City Council of the city of La Canada Flintridge. In addition, he was elected to represent the cities of Pasadena, South Pasadena and La Canada Flintridge on the Regional Council for the Southern California Association of Governments, which is the largest Master Planning Organization in the United States (covers over 19 million citizens).

Mr. Curtis is a National Member of the Urban Land Institute and serves on the Executive Committee of UL! Los Angeles District Council, and was past Co-Chair of the Healthy Communities Initiative and past Chair of Technical Advisory Panel Services.

Mr. Curtis received his Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School (Cum Laude) and graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He has received an AV rating by Martindale Hubbell, the highest rating an attorney can receive for quality and ethics. Mr. Curtis has been a lecturer and guest speaker on corporate investment and real estate at many seminars and conferences.

Alexandra Hack

Alexandra Hack is Principal of Cedar Street Partners LLC and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of entitlement, financing and development process for projects in the company’s pipeline. She has over  9 years of experience in the real estate finance and development industry in Los Angeles and New York.

Prior to joining the development team, she served as Investment Manager at AIG Investments, where she was responsible for managing a $5.5 billion commercial real estate loan portfolio, comprised of commercial real estate assets in Southern California, New York, and Washington DC.

Prior to AIG, Alex was Junior Development Officer at The Continuum Company in New York, which to date has developed more than 14 million square feet totaling over $7 billion. She worked directly with CEO Ian Bruce Eichner in structuring the financing behind all development projects in the company’s pipeline. Most notably, she structured the financing for Madison Square Park Tower, a 65-story, 232,000 SF luxury condominium development project located in the Flatiron district of Manhattan completed in 2017.

 

Garret Weyand

Garret Weyand has over 35 years of real estate experience, specializing in single family, multifamily and land investment and development in the Southern California region. Mr. Weyand brings an unparalleled breadth of expertise to the project team, including land acquisition, property management, operations and local market fundamentals.

 Mr. Weyand’s experience includes a number of high profile projects throughout California. In just the past three years, he independently sourced $2 million in private financing for the renovation of a regional volleyball center, supervised the construction of a 140,000 sf facility in Irvine, negotiated the acquisition of a large medical plaza in Reno, Nevada, and served on the development team for the acquisition and redevelopment of a $25 million mixed use building in Santa Monica.

Mr. Weyand is a graduate of the University of Southern California where he received a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Real Estate. He was born and raised in Southern California, and has lived in La Cañada Flintridge with his wife and three children for over 14 years.
